The workshops I facilitate, and when dealing with the non-verbal language, I always put in such as greeting and has been there in different cultures and eras. And the What question have in common these greetings? The answer is, the palm of your hand. Do the exercise: How greeted the Romans, and especially the gladiators to Caesar? How waved American Indians? How do the military salute? How to greet in Western culture? And now I can add as greet the Central Asian (Pakistan).
I present to you a name ...
with which I pass every morning when I take my son to school. We have nothing in common is, until today I did not know his name. Well, with this nice gentleman greeted us every morning, and his gesture is always the same, which you can see in the picture. Open hand showing the palm and the height of her smile. It is an act taken, and I even dare say that genetic. Because sometimes I saw it with grumpy face, and at the time greeting, I change the face, and gives us this wonderful greeting, both me and my son.
A greeting and help start the day with more good will.
For now, the advice is: Greet your conference attendees with an offering of your palm.
From the smile, and what to do with your hands during our presentation, we will discuss later.
