Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend an interesting talk on the Internet.
7x7 format, seven speakers with seven minutes each to present their views on the various tools and internet opportunities to SMEs. Excellent the idea and format, achieving a high attendance of the public and promised to capture the dynamism and main ideas in a short time.
The speakers were professionals or managers of small independent companies involved in information technology. Experts on the topics discussed, but ... How are they treated? ...
Then I got the idea to create this blog. There are many people who do not have the need to speak or make a public presentation usually, but sometimes in your life have to do it.
A course in public speaking is important and desirable, in fact my main activity is to be a trainer for persuasive communication in public. But what happens when I do the course and not make any presentation until a few months or even years? For what happened to one of the speakers at the conference. Technically very good, but lacking naturally and achieve personal goals to be dialed. I must say that this speaker was my student in a course on public speaking for about 8 years, and once finished his speech I acknowledged that it had reviewed notes from that course, but since he did not had the opportunity to speak in public until yesterday.
Finally ... we all have to make a public appearance at some point in our lives, but ... Do we know? Are we comfortable? Are we clear about our objectives? ... Point presentation is not to have attended many courses, it is in conjunction with an expert to prepare your presentation.
