Bases:
1. Open to all Mexican-born writers who reside in the country and send a record volume of stories in English, with a minimum length of 80 (eighty) pages and a maximum of 120 (one hundred twenty).
2. The award is unique and indivisible and consists of $ 75,000 (seventy five thousand pesos 00/100 MN) in cash and a diploma, and the publication of the book by the University of Guadalajara.
3. Papers must be submitted in triplicate, signed with a pseudonym, typewritten or computer with lyrics by twelve points with Times font, double spaced, letter-size paper on one side. Manuscripts should be no images and seaming.
4. Attachment to work, a sealed envelope and identified with the name of the work and the pseudonym, please send your name, address, telephone number, mobile number and email address, and a curriculum sheet.
5. Papers should be sent to any of the following addresses: Centro Universitario del Sur. 6. The period for receipt of business was open from the publication of this call and closes on April 30, 2010 at 19:00. In the case of those sent by mail will be accepted only in demonstrating that the postmark of the post office of origin should not exceed the closing date of the announcement.
7. There will be a pre-selection jury composed of distinguished academics and writers of history, who will select the works that will be handed the final jury.
8. The final jury will be composed of three writers of national renown and their names will be announced at the time of issuance of the decision.
9. May not participate: a) Work to be participating in other competitions in hopes of opinion, b) Authors who have received the award in past emissions, c) works that have been awarded in other contests, d) Staff assigned to the Secretariat Cultural Diffusion bonding and CUAAD.
10. The organizing committee is empowered to disqualify any entry not complying with the requirements required in this call.
11. We do not return the originals or copies of the work is not rewarded, which will be destroyed in order to protect copyright.
12. The winning work will be published by the University of Guadalajara.
13. Once the jury has deliberated and issued the ruling will be final and shall be opening the envelope to identify whoever wins, on August 28, 2010, and will be notified immediately and reported to through local and national media.
14. The prize can be awarded if the final jury finds that the work does not meet quality requirements.
15. The organizers will cover travel expenses, lodging and feeding of the winner to attend the awards ceremony at the Centro Universitario del Sur, in Ciudad Guzmán Mpio. Zapotlan el Grande, Jalisco, on September 23, 2010 and subsequently launched the book in the framework of the International Book Fair in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
16. The organizing committee is empowered to resolve cases not covered in this call.
