"I wanted to go out and change the world but I could not find a babysitter." Some thoughts about the political efficacy of art images
In this paper I intend to examine whether there is the possibility of a space, however tenuous, in which images generated a critical response. Can some pictures ("art?) affect the understanding of the" politics of images'? Can we be nothing but producers and consumers of images, goods, images existing? In short: Is there a possibility of political efficacy in the images we produce in the field of art? I truly believe so and I'll try to explain.
