PAPER COVERS (9)

"Graphite historical"

People have always participated in the visual aspect of the environment it inhabits. Uniformity imposed on us today is not, as it seems, what is historically normal. It is, in fact, a dehumanization and a depoliticization of the environment. Informal writing on walls has always been part of human culture, and abundant archaeological remains prove, also in historic buildings Aranjuez.

PRESENTATION OF DANIEL Lupion (8)

"I wanted to go out and change the world but I could not find a babysitter." Some thoughts about the political efficacy of art images

In this paper I intend to examine whether there is the possibility of a space, however tenuous, in which images generated a critical response. Can some pictures ("art?) affect the understanding of the" politics of images'? Can we be nothing but producers and consumers of images, goods, images existing? In short: Is there a possibility of political efficacy in the images we produce in the field of art? I truly believe so and I'll try to explain.

PAPER ANGEL GUTIERREZ VALERO (7)

TITLE OF PAPER / TALK:
Roadmaps. Rogelio López Cuenca.

SUMMARY:
The trajectory of Rogelio López Cuenca (Nerja, 1959) is one of the most consistent artistic practice committed in the English art scene in recent decades. Away from trends, his work clearly personal, explores the fissures that undermine the broad concept of representation in our time: handling, identity, public sphere, city, travel are some of the themes and concepts used, expressed through a personal visual discourse full of appropriations, linguistic resources, alterations and irony. The story, as visible in the environment report immediately in which they operate in contemporary societies, and the strategies of manipulation and alteration of it, is one of the most intense lines of work developed over the last decade.

However, this has happened not to a few conflicts and contradictions. On the other hand under the notion of public art, often are grouped productions and attitudes of very diverse nature. This paper attempts to make a reflection on the various artistic approaches grouped under the above name and generate a critical analysis about the gap between how have operated and the arguments about those who have sought their legitimacy.
